The following table will explain to you the FST draw’s number of invitations received, frequency, and especially the lowest cut-off score invited on each draw.

Findings and Recommendations:

Based on the above pattern, soon we may expect a draw for Federal Skilled Trades candidates. So, my recommendations to the FST candidates are:

  • Create your Express Entry profile as soon as possible
  • Data accuracy is important while creating the profile
  • Look for ways to improve the score.

Who Qualifies for Federal Skilled Trades :

  • Minimum work Experience required: at least 2 years of full-time work experience (or an equal amount of part-time work experience) in a skilled following trade within the 5 years before you apply
  • Major Group 72, industrial, electrical and construction trades
  • Major Group 73, maintenance and equipment operation trades
  • Major Group 82, supervisors and technical jobs in natural resources, agriculture, and related production
  • Major Group 92, processing, manufacturing and utility supervisors and central control operators
  • Minor Group 632, chefs and cooks
  • Minor Group 633, butchers and bakers
